NET ENGERGY

Net energy is the difference between the energy generated and the energy consumed. Imagine a world where energy consumers become net energy providers as they generate excess power from renewable technologies.

Carbon negative means that this net energy eliminates carbon from the atmosphere that otherwise would have been produced by fossil fuels. This is where we want to be!

Reducing carbon emissions in energy, waste & water consumption is key to our sustainable path also. Net Energy offers a sustainable package to calculate an energy / carbon baseline for your organisation along with targets and a plan to achieve these targets.

Our Sustainability Package offers

  • Review of your consumption data for electricity, thermal, transport, waste and water to set a baseline for your organisation.

  • Set targets for a reduction in electricity, thermal, transport, waste and water consumption up to 2030 and beyond in line with government policy and targets.

  • Calculate carbon footprint for your organisation and/or embodied carbon / energy in products produced.

  • Energy audit of facilities to include bill & fuel analysis, significant energy users, key performance indicators & benchmarking, register of opportunities & grant applications.

  • Calculate energy savings associated with energy efficiency upgrades & renewable energy technologies.

  • Sustainability Plan outlining all of the above.

ABOUT US

Jane has focused her working career on energy reduction and sustainability as she is passionate about reducing waste in all sectors and improving our ability to use natural resources. She works across all sectors and aspects of sustainability including energy, transport, waste, water & carbon with a strong focus on energy management.

She is a Certified Energy Manager and has worked closely with both private and public sector bodies in implementing energy management plans including ISO50001. She is a registered energy auditor with Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland and can carry out energy audits in line with SEAI Energy Auditing Scheme.

She has worked with many communities through the SEAI Sustainable Energy Communities programme & Better Energy Communities Programme. She has completed Energy Master Plans, grant applications, energy efficiency and renewable projects from start to finish.

She is a part-time lecturer and trainer in areas of energy management, building services, sustainable energy, and smart grid technologies. She is educated in the areas of Renewable Energy & the Environment, Nearly Zero Energy Building Design, Project Management and Lean Thinking & Tools.
